Ultimate Reset Officially Finished !

Thank you, thank you , thank you very much ! (applause) So, I have completed the Ultimate Reset. My 21 day journey is at an end, but not over. I have come to discover that I like this new way of eating. I feel much better. I don't get groggy after I eat, feel bloated, no gas,(my family thanks you for that one Beachbody), I actually go to the bathroom way less, with the exception of peeing every 3.8 minutes,ha,ha. I am not going to lie it is work making all that food. The point really is that you can make healthy , nutritious, and vegan, yes vegan food taste really ,really good. I do see people make whatever they want on some of their Facebook posts. I suggest you follow the meal plan to a t. The meals are there for a reason. Beachbody has nutritionists that test and sample all of these meals. If not for this reason alone, you should follow each day. The other, main reason I say follow the plan is that you will truly discover that you can make regular dishes that are vegetarian that taste really ,really good, and are not just a plate full of boring @$$ veggies. Lets face it no one wants boring @$$ veggies!

Now that we have gotten that out of the way Lets get to the meat (so to speak) of the matter. "Hey Shawn how much weight did you lose?"  Keep in mind this is not a weight loss program. This is called the Ultimate Reset for a reason. It cleans your body , and really, for my experience was a mind reset on how to eat food and enjoy it. I also had to slow down my eating pattern. I usually eat like a pig because my job has no breaks, so when you get food you have to shovel it in. Now I actually make time to eat. I will like to continue eating this way. The dishes are a lot easier to wash because there is no greasy, nasty, caked on stuff. Even if you make chicken breast it is still greasy when you cook it. Just saying. That is also a plus. Less clean up. I bought my food about every 3 days to keep it fresh. DRUM ROLL PLEASE.......................I was originally exactly 250lbs When I started, now I am 232.6 as of this morning. A pretty good by product if you ask me! That is a total of 17.6lbs. I have never lost that much weight in 3 weeks. With exercise or no exercise before. That includes p90x, insanity , because I never followed the diet plan. Since I accomplished this I now feel I can do it no problem. Imagine the results you will get by truly following the plans! I have 2 weeks before I can hit the gym hard. I have to start reintroducing food in my diet this week, then  I can start working out at 50%, then I will be hitting P90X hard! Tonights dinner! Roasted red pepper & sweet potato soup from scratch, with roasted asparagus and toasted almonds. So good ! I will definitely be making this in the winter!

ULTIMATE RESET DAY 7 (MORNING)

WHOO,HOOO!!! Today I weighed myself! If there is any doubt that Beachbody makes products that work, get rid of it. They absolutely work, as long as you follow every aspect of it. It takes work , but if you REALLY WANT TO CHANGE you have to COMMIT. Bottom line you have to be dedicated to YOU.  How much weight did I lose you ask? In 1 week, I still have today actually. I lost 9 lbs!! , I repeat 9 lbs. What's the big deal you say. Well, that is with NO WORKING OUT. Nothing, nada, not even a walk. That is sitting on the couch and ironically watching Biggest Loser all day on netflix. You are not supposed to workout on the Ultimate Reset. Just take walks, maybe some yoga. I am so happy right now, I can't even tell you. 2 more weeks to go. I hope I can lose 30lbs before I start my workouts. That would be awesome! ULTIMATE RESET DAY 6

Day 6 is over. I was a little off today with the timing of my food. I got out of bed later than usual which cuased me to get a late start. I did correct it though. The food was good today leaning more toward a vegetarian diet. Still satisfying. I had a marinated tempeh with avacado slices, and toast for breakfast. Then I had a quinoa salad , same as yesterdays. Dinner was new. Actually, the picture that I posted is my dinner. It was roasted beets,yams,onions,& carrots with a little olive oil & himalayan sea salt. Also had toasted millet. That was a new one for me. I like quinoa better. It was pretty easy to cook. I also had a zuccini & cashew soup that I made in about 6 minutes, 3 of which were spent in the blender. It was awesome. I put mixed herbs and fresh oregano. Good stuff, all natural and mostly organic. I feel better each day. I actually feel stronger even though I have not worked out 1 single day. Tomorrow will be 1/3 done. Only 2 weeks to go after that. I just have to work on my sleeping patterns. Baby steps, right. ULTIMATE RESET DAY 5

This is my lunch for today. Took about 15 min. to make. It was really good!! The bowl is quinoa , with cucumber, tomato, kalamata olives, Fresh parsley, some olive oil,lemon and Braggs amino acids. Obviously there is a plate full of fresh veggies, it is acommpanied by pine nut and herb hummus. Hummus is GOOD!! So far everything is really tasty. I know I keep saying, but it 's really good. I don't miss anything so far. I am starting to feel pretty good now also. I could get used to eating like this!  Tonight's dinner is miso soup, stir fry veggies, brown rice. I really want to weigh my self  , but I am holding out till the end of the week. I do feel better  however, I have to pee about every 3.57 minutes. 2 more days and I am 1/3 of the way done already! That's crazy. Then I just have to decide which workout I want to do. BODY  BEAST, INSANITY, or P90X. Input is welcome. Wish me luck and thank you! Ultimate Reset day 4

day 4 is over. It was rough at first I had a massive headache for 2 days, finally I took some ibuprofen. It helped a lot. Food was good. It was 2 cups of fruit, organic yogurt, toast. Lunch was sort of a repeat. lentil lime salad, baby green salad w/ homemade creamy garlic dressing, and tempeh sushi. I barely could finish it. Then the alkalanize drink 2 hours later. Dinner was good also . mixed veggies asian style with quinoa and some cucumber salad. Half way done with the first week and I am doing good.

This headache is killing me! I had to take some ibeuprofen. Sorry detox, couldn't handle it! Try to go back to sleep abd see how I feel later.

ULTIMATE RESET DAY 3

Ok, so today was Interesting. Started out the day running a little late. Had my breakfast. 2 organic eggs , kale with pinenuts and lemon and 1 piece of ezekiel toast. Then it was off to Chuckie Cheese for a birthday party. I was surrounded by pizza of every sort and chicken wing. Oh , you can't forget the fried cheese, and the awesome Captain America cake! Did I crack ? Pizza and wings are hands down one of my top 3 things to eat. NO, I did not eat any of it . I sat there with my gallon of distilled water actually content. I will admit the smell wafting up yo my nose a few times did get to me, but I realized I was not hungry and it was more of an impulse. I did pee like 100 times thanks to my water with himalayan sea salt in it. Then it was off to whole foods AGAIN. Bought a few more things. That place is awesome ,just sayin'. Lunch was a lentil lime salad, and a baby spring mix salad with jicama, alfalfa sprouts, tomato, cucumber, and a totally delicious homemade creamy garlic dressing form the Ultimate Reset cook book. Dinner was my favorite though. I actually made my own sushi which turned out so perfect. I was so proud of myself. It was totally vegan. I had a miso soup with green onion and wakame seaweed, a homemade cucumber,avocado, and wakame salad. Similar to what you would get at a sushi bar. Then the sushi. It was Tempah lightly fried in olive oil as a meat substitute with your typical california roll goodies. It came out perfect. I will try and post a picture later. I have had a headache all day today, don't really know if it's the Reset or just a plain lack of sleep. I only slept a few hours. Ultimate Reset DAY 2

So, today was day 2, and everything went pretty good. The food is still really good. I have no complaints about portion size or taste. Actually the portions are really big. Sometimes I think I did it wrong but I didn't. lol. Today I had 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 cup of blueberries, and a 1/2 cup of yogurt with stevia. Lunch was a greek salad with organic chicken breast, and a homemade greek dressing from the book that was really easy to make and tasted really good! Dinner was a taco with black beans ,brown rice, corn, guacamole, salsa and kale with lemon on the side. Kale was always bitter to me,but  now that I know how to cook it it's actually something I would eat on a regular basis. The only draw back is I don't have a lot of the ingredients so I go to the store alot, BUT my food is always really fresh! Ultimate Reset day 1

Day one is pretty much over and it was not bad at all. The biggest issue is that you can't be lazy when it comes to preparing your food . Other than that I actually feel real good.  No cravings, which is surprising. I have been completely full all day. The food is really GOOD too! I had 2 organic eggs for breakfast ,with 2 slices of ezekiel toast ,and a cup of spinach. Lunch was a salad at work.  Dinner was my favorite. It was fish with a basil ,lemon , garlic marinade that was out of this world. 1 red potato and asparagus with lemon. The lemon added a lot of flavor to the asparagus. Most of the food I had was organic, and some people might say " Organic is so expensive" . Well , what you have to ask yourself is am I worth it , I would have to say YES!! I will see you tomorrow. Tomorrow I will be starting the 21 day Ultimate Reset! Time to to get back on track. Organic food is not cheap, but I am worth it! DECIDE , COMMIT ,SUCCEED. Time to commit. Getting rid of toxins. Lowering cholesterol, and learning how to eat clean!
